Tools

All 29 tools the Qaldy MCP server offers, what each one does, the scope it needs and its inputs. Generated from the server’s own definitions.

The server offers 29 tools (toolset 2026-10-19.2). Tools are always listed in the order below. A read-only connection is offered the read tools only, and a connection narrowed with ?features= is offered only the groups it names, plus the always-on ones. Tools that are not offered are not registered, so calling one is a protocol error, not a refusal that could be argued with.

Needs the read scope. Changes nothing.

InputTypeRequiredNotes
appIdstringyesThe app id, from list_apps. 1 to 128 characters

Build and change apps

InputTypeRequiredNotes
appIdstringyesThe app id, from list_apps. 1 to 128 characters

update_app

Changes an app from a plain sentence (“run it every Monday at 9”, “call it Stock watch”). The first call plans it and shows what the new version may do that the old could not; the person confirms in their client and the same call, repeated, applies exactly that plan as a new version. Needs Editor access. Bigger permissions are approved in the console.

Needs the write scope. Changes something inside Qaldy. Asks the person to confirm in their own client first.

InputTypeRequiredNotes
appIdstringyesThe app id, from list_apps. 1 to 128 characters

explain_run

Explains one run in plain words from what Qaldy recorded: what happened, why it failed, what changed since the last good run and what to do.
